Secondary steelwork
The structure the envelope is fixed to. When it is needed, we build that too — so you are not refereeing between two contractors.
Support grids for insulation retrofits
In an insulation retrofit the new envelope is carried on a grid fixed back to the existing structure. We design it with a thermal break — otherwise most of the investment in insulation is cancelled out.
Canopies and secondary structures
Loading canopies, entrance lobbies, steel frames for doors and windows, walkways and stairs for roof access. All coordinated with the envelope and with matching surface protection.
Corrosion protection
Hot-dip galvanising or a paint system matched to the corrosivity category. In food and chemical plants this is not a detail — it is the service life of the whole structure.
FAQ
Will you build the whole hall frame?
Complete hall frames are not our core business — we concentrate on the envelope and secondary steelwork. If you need a whole hall, we will put you in touch with a proven frame manufacturer and deliver the envelope ourselves.
Can you strengthen an existing frame?
To the extent a structural engineer specifies, yes. A new envelope is usually lighter than the old one, but insulation retrofits and photovoltaics change the loading and it has to be assessed.
Does the steelwork come with a design?
We provide the fabrication and shop drawings. The structural design is done by a chartered engineer — yours or our external consultant.
